New track from Slaughterhouse that leaked last night. I don’t think this song was supposed to come out, but it did. I wasn’t feeling it too much at first, but it’s starting to grow on me. I still think there was more potential for this song, but I’ll enjoy it as is cause it’s still not a bad song. They all should have spit more on topic in my opinion.
Added: Budden lyrics, will try to get to the rest soon as I can.
Slaughterhouse – Wack MC’s Lyrics
Joe Budden:
Look, I’m the perfect one to show ya
All that slick talkin could be over
All it’s gon’ take’s a U-turn from the chauffeur
You test me, you just see
We mix hands with guns that’s the hood’s UFC
And me, I never had gear, but since last year
I swore not to cop nothin if it wasn’t cashmere
Dudes is salty I’m fond of the sodium
Anticipate the shots like Obama at the podium
Me and y’all nowhere near the same pedigree
Not in layman’s terms, hypothetically, metaphorically
Lyrically not especially, theoretically
I mean we just different genetically
They ain’t named me the champion yet
And so it’s, AC Jeans, Champion sweats
Homie this is just a thought for Donnie Walsh DJ’s
That don’t wanna play the best nigga in New York
Slaughterhouse just put out another track leaked by Budden last night on his forum. They are going back and forth every few bars in this very dope track. It’s always exciting to hear new material from these guys, and this track is fresh out of the studio. Crooked makes mention of his recently being shot. Royce also throws out a dope line to the people hating on Joe Budden’s girl, “You mad at Tahiri, cause ya ass ain’t famous, get it nigga, ya ass ain’t famous“. I think they all ripped it in this track, and I hope I can make it out to see them perform at the Paid Dues Festival March 28th.

Joe Budden and Joell Ortiz had a foot race after Joell Ortiz kept claiming he could beat Budden in a foot race, and even went as far as saying he could beat any rapper in a race. The whole situation is comedy, and it’s always funny as hell seeing these 2 argue. The race itself took a lot longer then any race should ever take, with a countless amount of false starts, and re-do’s, but it was still entertaining. I was surprised by how fast Joell really was lol check out the video to see who won. I embedded the videos in HD so they might take a while to load, go to JBTV Youtube Channel, to see them in lower quality.
Padded Room is almost here, Feb 24th, show your support! Pre-Order through Amalgam Digital, Amazon, or Best Buy.
It’ll be available in stores, and on Itunes as well.
Miss Info interviewed Slaughterhouse after the Joe Budden & Slaughterhouse show they had on January 22nd, 08. As a fan of all these artists, it’s been great to see them join forces, and I think it’s great for Hip Hop, and can only be good for each of their individual careers as well. It’s always interesting to hear what they have to say in interviews, so be sure to check these out.
It’s always good when these 2 link up for a track. Real laid back smooth joint, they both came nice, and the song seems to get better every time I hear it. The video above is from Joe Budden TV, Joell and Joe are discussing how the song should be structured, and they have some differences.
POST UPDATE: This song came out a month ago, but it was just Joell, and Budden. Now Royce Da 5’9 and Crooked I added verses to the track, but Joell and Budden’s verses are still the same. Added the lyrics to Royce and Crooked’s verses, but there is still some errors, so give me time and I’ll try to fix em up.

Just saw this posted on JoeBuddenTV.com. Joe Budden and the guys from Slaughterhouse will be doing a show that will also have a live webcast on the internet. I’ve never seen something like this done before, and it’s pretty cool that fans that don’t live in the area, can still get a chance to see the show. I don’t know how good the video and sound quality of the feed will be, considering it’s a live stream, with loud music, but I’ll be tuning in to check it out either way.
It’s no happy dude here
I’m mad at the world while I’m wishin y’all a Happy New Year
- Joe Budden (40 Licks)
Well another year has passed, and I can say 2008 was a decent year for me. The best way to describe it is well balanced. I had a lot of new experiences, accomplished some goals, and stayed out of trouble. I still have a lot I need to improve on, and a lot I still need to figure out as far as where my life is headed, but doesn’t everybody? Let’s hope 2009 is a better year for everyone. Happy New Years people, be safe, continue improving, and always think about what you’re doing before you do it.
If you haven’t been paying attention to hip hop lately, Joe Budden, Royce Da 5’9, Joell Ortiz, and Crooked I have been talking about doing a project together, and forming a group. This all started with the collab they put together for Joe Budden’s latest release “The Halfway House“, titled “Slaughterhouse“. There’s videos on Joe Budden TV of them in various studios, working with different producers, so it is clear that this project is definitely going down. The song was titled as the group name Slaughterhouse, but I don’t think that is the final name. I’m waiting to hear some more concept songs, with some choruses from these guys, the full cd should be interesting to hear. So far I’m definitely feeling the tracks they put together, every emcee is bringing it.

Joe Budden announced this song last week, and has had everyone in anticipation since. It features Joell Ortiz, Crooked I, Nino Bless, and Royce Da 5’9, who was recently sending jabs at Budden on wax, but it appears they have patched it up. It was supposed to air tonight on DJ Green Lantern’s Sirius radio show, but he was out of town longer then expected, so instead Joe Budden decided to leak it himself for download on www.joebuddenonline.com. It was about 6 hours late, the site crashed, cause too many people were trying to get the song, and then to every ones surprise, it actually came out before the night was over, around 11pm (Pacific Time). This song is gonna be on The Halfway House album, which is due to come out on October 28th, 2008, and will be for sale as a digital release on www.amalgamdigital.com. Be sure to pick it up to show your support.
