Joe Budden vs Ransom Beef Full Recap And Updates
Joe Budden, and Ransom, both from New Jersey, were at one time considered acquaintances, and could be heard on numerous songs together. Their “beef” started when Joe Budden was putting together a collab track for his Mood Muzik 3 mixtape, and he got a verse from Ransom. Budden also put Ransom’s ex partner in rhyme, Hitchcock, who he was in the group A-Team with until they broke up, on the same record, without Ransom knowing about it beforehand. The song was titled “Family Reunion”, and also featured Fabolous. This beef started at the end of 2007, and we got to hear them go back and forth, and everything was kept on wax. Well here we are, at the end of 2008, and the beef we thought had died out, has resurfaced, and been taken to another level.
I personally think this shit is stupid as hell, especially if something really does happen, there’s gonna be evidence of it all over the internet. The latest update, which you can see above, is Joe Budden stating he is going to take the high road on this beef, and let Ransom have the win.
Here’s the full recap of this battle thus far, from beginning to now.
Ransom sent the first shot on record, with his track “Kid Brother”

Budden wasted no time, and responded with “Heart Of The City” which was a real light, warning message, to Ransom, keeping it real, and saying we can end this before it gets outta hand.

Budden came back in an unbelievably short amount of time, and went for the throat with “Ransom Note” and this track put any doubts about Budden losing this battle to rest.

This is the video from a couple weeks ago that started the beef back up. it’s Joe Budden and some friends, talking about Hip Hop, and Budden says some things about Ransom.
Ransom didn’t take too kindly to what he heard Joe Budden’s say about him, and goes on to say some disrespectful things about Budden, his girl, and more.
Joe Budden talks about how he went to Ransom’s hood, and him and his boys saw Ran, and they beat him up on video, and he ran from them. He also says he will release the footage if Ran says anything else about him.
Ransom explains his side of the story, and then goes to one of Budden’s friends house, looking for him, but he’s not there. They talk to the guys brother, asking where he’s at, and one of the guys with Ransom, slaps the guy. They leave after he closes the door, and they talk tough for a bunch of minutes.
Joe Budden analyzes the situation, and says he is going to be the bigger man, and take the high road, and let Ransom have the win.
Yo that’s some real shit – Budden shouldn’t have even mentioned the video and I’m sure he knows that now and regrets it. Good mature conversation though, props.
