I didn’t even know of this movies existence until a few days before its release. I heard the song Move On by Joell Ortiz ft. Joe Budden, where Budden spits the clever line, “I’m on my grind, benjamin huntin/ Was old since I was young, call me Benjamin Button“. Of course I didn’t understand the line at first, but me being me, I quickly searched google to see who he was referring to, and stumbled on the trailer. I was pretty intrigued by the concept of the movie, and very interested to see exactly how they were going to execute it. I finally got a chance to see the movie, and here’s my thoughts.
I finally got a chance to watch this movie, and I have to say I enjoyed it. I’m a big fan of Seth Rogen, and the projects he’s been involved in, so when I heard about this movie, I was anticipating it big time. Kevin Smith is also great, and the guy from The Office is funny as hell too. The concept of the movie had a lot of potential to make this movie interestingly funny to say the least. I really wasn’t sure if this movie would be as funny as I was hoping it to be, because the trailer didn’t really seem all that funny. I guess most of the parts that I found hilarious, wouldn’t be able to be shown on tv. My only complaint about this movie is the ending, which leaves part of the storyline unexplained.
If you enjoy 40 Year Old Virgin, Superbad, Knocked Up, type of comedy, then you will most likely enjoy this movie, so I would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a good laugh.
I need to have a small role in one of these movies, for real.
Funny side story, I brought this movie up to a cousin of mine, but I didn’t wanna say “porno” cause we were around family, and he accidentally called the movie “Zack And Miri Make A Mixtape” lol funny shit.
The beat is pretty hot especially for a comedy song, and you can’t go wrong with an appearance from Jamie Lynn Sigler. They need to get me on the remix. Here’s what I got so far….
I logged on aim, got a message saying hi
Didn’t know if it was from a girl or a guy
Before I even got a chance to reply, I… Jizzed In My Pants!!!
A collection of “That’s What She Said’s” from one of my favorite shows, The Office. If it wasn’t for Steve Carell, who plays the hilarious boss Michael Scott, this show just wouldn’t be the same. The 5th Season premiere just aired a couple weeks ago, then they took a week off, not sure why, but it’s coming back on tonight, can’t wait to watch. It comes on Thursdays at 9pm, on NBC.
Prison Break returns for it’s 4th season, on September 1st, at 9pm. Prison Break is definitely one of my favorite shows of all time. The first season was perfection, and had me hooked from the very first episode. I have seen every single episode this show has put out, and I will continue to do so until it ends. I will admit I feel the show has been slacking with every new season, because of the unrealistic turns it continues to take, but it’s a TV show, it doesn’t necessarily have to be realistic. I never imagined the show would go past one season, maybe two, given it’s plot, but here we are about to start the 4th season, so I guess you’d have to expect some far fetched developments in the story. Truthfully, I don’t mind getting to see new episodes of this one of a kind show, so as a devoted fan, I’m still happy, but that first season set the bar too damn high! Don’t forget to pick up the dvds on Amazon, if you’ve missed anything, or to add to the collection. Prison Break Monday’s in HD are back! I can’t wait!
This is one of the most powerful scenes I’ve ever seen. It’s a clip from an old episode of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, where Will Smith’s character’s father comes back in his life, and then leaves him once again. I must have watched this at least 10 times since I found it last night, the acting is incredible. I know a lot of people can relate to this situation so it’s gonna hit them even harder then it hit me. This scene gets me every time, if you watch this and don’t feel SOMETHING, you are heartless.
AGENTSPITS THOUGHTS: Well it seems one of the best to ever do stand up comedy, one of my personal favorites, George Carlin, has died today, June 22, 2008 at the age of 71. For an older guy, he seemed to be pretty healthy when he was up there on stage or doing interviews, but you can’t always tell by looking at a person how healthy they really are. I’m very rarely affected by celebrity deaths, for the obvious reasons that I have no direct emotional connection to them, but there are some celebs that you really hate to see pass on, because of the entertainment they’ve brought you over the years, and George Carlin was definitely one of those people for me. It was always a pleasure to see an old man like crazy Carlin doing his routines, filled with intelligently vulgar strings of thought, and it’s sad to think that we won’t be getting any new material from him. He didn’t seem to hold back much, and thats what you had to love about this guy. He was very passionate about his comedy and his views of the truth, and it showed when he was doing what he did best up on stage in front of all his fans. Not many other comedians can manipulate the English language quite like he could, he was one of a kind, a witty, angry, and intelligent man that wasn’t afraid to speak his mind. There will never be another George Carlin, one of the realest comedians to ever bless the mic. He will live on through his dvds and youtube videos for many future generations looking to be entertained.
I’m always gonna regret looking at the newspaper a little over a year ago, seeing he had an upcoming show in the area, and promising myself I would remember and try to go, and then remembering about it when the show had already passed! If only he could come back for one more show, his grand finale and give us the performance of a lifetime. George Carlin, I can honestly say, you played a small role in me not believing in God anymore thanks to your “Religion is Bullshit” bit, and lets hope you were right, cause if you weren’t, I’m sure you’ve got a lot of making up to do before you reach Heaven. You made me want to open up my mind so I don’t fall victim to this big corrupt, evil world we live in. I’m gonna enjoy your old stand up specials whenever I’m in need of a good laugh. I still have your page-a-day calendar on my desk that I use when I need to write down a note on a small piece of paper, but I never forget to read the quote on it first! Thanks for all the great entertainment, Rest In Peace you dirty old man!
THE CLEVELAND SHOW (working title) is the story of what happens when FAMILY GUY’s Cleveland Brown (voiced by Mike Henry) moves to Stoolbend, VA, to make good on a promise to his high school sweetheart. THE CLEVELAND SHOW (working title) airs Sundays 9:30/8:30c this spring on FOX.
AGENTSPITS THOUGHTS: I used to be a big fan of Family Guy, but after the 4th season or so, I really lost interest and I stopped watching it. I don’t know if the show fell off, or I just got tired of it, probably a mixture of both. This spin-off, doesn’t sound promising to me, because Cleveland was never really a standout character. I would’ve went with Quagmire or maybe even Stewie, if it was up to me. I’m not gonna completely judge it before seeing it, so when it comes out i’ll be watching and hoping it doesn’t completely suck.
AGENTSPITS THOUGHTS: I love entourage, it’s one of my top 5 favorite shows of all time. I’ve seen every single episode, and will be watching every episode they put out as long as this series exists. This season sounds like it will be as equally good as all the others. Can’t wait, I’m already marking my calendar now!
